Guest Bartending: Team ERA Wants To End ALZ

Salisbury, MD – Team ERA Wants to End Alzheimer’s – and they fundraise however they can! On Wednesday, June 29th, ERA Martin Associates took over the Dock Bar at Brew River Restaurant for a Guest Bartending Event. Mild June temperatures, a delightful breeze, and abundant sunshine helped make the evening a success. There was a great turnout of agents from the local Real Estate company, plus family, friends, and supporters – all to raise funds for the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

President Joni M. Williamson, top agent Laurie Cannon, REALTOR® with ERA Martin Associates, and John T. Cannon, President of the Wicomico County Council volunteered to work with the staff of Brew River to serve the bar. Two of the Dock Bar’s skilled bartenders, Alisa and Dylan, guided and assisted the celebrity bartenders with more difficult orders. “The staff at Brew River was wonderful! We are so thankful for this opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise using their beautiful facilities,” said Joni Williamson.

In addition to enjoying great food and drinks overlooking the Wicomico River, guests enjoyed the music of DJ Wookie aka George Kreiner, REALTOR® with ERA Martin Associates. Playing a mix of hits from all decades and genres, DJ Wookie set the mood for a night of fun! As a surprise source of entertainment, Jeff Dale, REALTOR® with ERA Martin Associates brought along his bongos to supplement the tunes.

For the fundraiser, 20% of all drink and food ordered was donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. There were also Donation Boxes scattered around for cash and check donations. Donning purple shirts and smiles, the crowd raised $1,296.82 from the evening.“We had so much fun with this event – raising that much for the cause in one night was a fabulous bonus!” said Laurie Cannon.
